Pixie In the Fairyland

I have been admiring overMamamin's work. The way how she create the human figurines. I did try to imitated her work just by looking at it. But it's not easy, I can said. The most hardest parts
is the limbs, u have to make sure it's proportionate. To make the body still standing straight
even after the figurine settle down is also a problems for me.

To improved my skill, I have to attend classes and so I have been checking on the class schedule
at CakeConnection and waiting for Mamamin classes. When I saw there is Fairyland Theme
for figurine class available, I just enrolled it without any hesitation.

and below is my work from the class.

Simple Fondant Decorated Cake

As you all know, I always bought white rolled fondant to do my modelling. So few weeks ago,
when i was replanishing my stock i saw this pack of chocolate fondant. This is great coz
i can use it to do bear or whatever modelling piece that need brown color.
However, when I try to use it i still prefer the use the white fondant to mix with colour gel
to get the colour tone I want. This is chocolate fondant is too dark and it's very hard for me
to blend in with icing sugar not to mention cornflour. But the taste is great especially the chocolate
lover. Since I have already open it so I just use it to wrap a 9" square cake.
With a very simple deco.
